I forgot who posted about using Zomig while on a SSRI (Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, etc.) anti-depressant. Although all the labels warn about it, it seems that the risk is only theoretical. My doctor went to a special migraine seminar at the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago and was told several times that patients on anti-depressants CAN take triptans (Zomig, Imitrex, Maxalt, Amerge, etc.) for headaches.
I take Imitrex or Zomig and I'm on Paxil and I've never had a problem, although I never take them at the same exact time.
Teri, you are on Paxil, too, and I know you take Maxalt. Does your doc say the same thing that mine does?
Lynn (with head pounding from last night's migraine....sigh)
I'm take Celexa and Imitrex together. I've never noticed a problem or been told of one either. ???
Diane
Hi, Lynn.
Yes, my docs agree completely. Good thing, too. I don't know if I could choose between the two. Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you get better soon.
Teri
